Indeed it is - and as I watch the USAR work in NYC, I remember the days of learning to shore up damaged buildings, etc., and I feel somewhat useless sitting here in sunny southern Cal. I wish more people would take it upon themselves to at least be competent in SAR techniques. Sure would keep us more out of harm's way during our raging fire season.
