Re: Bells & Bears
Bear Story:
Friends Margie and Larry were packing in the beartooth wilderness one
summer...They had just started unpacking the horses and setting up
camp...Margie was in the tent just starting to rollout their bedroll when
Larry hollered, "Margie!!!! There's a grizzly out here!!!Get the
camera!!!!!!!!!" Margie frantically started digging for the camera when
Larry yelled," Margie!!! Forget the camera! GET THE GUN!!!!!" Margie
grabbed the gun and was just about to emerge from the tent when Larry
screamed, "Margie!!!! GET IN A TREE!!!!"
They both ended up high in the branches of a couple of trees while the
grizzly ransacked their gear and caused their horses to spook and run. Bear
eventually ambled off...Larry and Margie found their horses and all was
well!
Moral of the story is....Never mistake a grizzly bear for a photo-op!
