Sweating and high pulse

We have a 14 year Arab Gelding,(Huckelberry Bey son if that may make a
difference) that hangs at 50-60 pulse after a 25 mile ride. Done the
bloodwork and thyroid tests. All ok. Heart sounds good. He has now started
to really sweat, quickly and lots. Otherwise he is loving the boogie down
the trail thing. He has only once backed off, and that was in the
mountains after about 5 days of just vacation trail riding and he had not
done much before that. We bought him just before we went west. We live in
the flatlands of Indiana.
We really like this horse and he can fly with what seems like no effort.
Has anyone had any experience with this hanging heart rate and the
excessive sweating? Any info would be appreciated.
