Hi Maureen: The Bureau of Reclamation is going to close the
tunnel that the
American River now flows through. the location is just
below the Overlook
Staging Area in Auburn CA. the end of the Tevis. There
is a alternate trail
route that to this location that goes thought the
Old Auburn Dam Site and
crosses the dry riverbed. This trail they expect
to close the use of forever
if we do not speak up and save this loop
trail.
