I got it from Pat Fredrickson at
halterlady.com . If I had a hard case puller I would go with a
thicker
halter, mine have pulled back a few times with no damage(to horse
or halter).

**Hi Shelly and all,
I happen to be of the opposite camp-with a horse
that pulls, I ALWAYS make sure they have a thin rope halter or
even be-nice-halter. My inclination is that
they need to be cured of pulling, and if you use a be-nice-halter, and
tie them fairly short and HIGH, to a tree branch-they will learn pretty quick
not to do it! I have done this for years, and haven't had a broken neck
yet (knock on wood). I would not own a horse that could not be
tied.
With a wider halter, the horse will just set
back, usually until the lead rope snap or halter hardware breaks, Then,
they have only learned they can get loose when they pull.
What I generally use while camping or at
endurance ride-is a biotane halter, which does not seem to rub. I have
I.D. tags on these too.
