For years folks in the NE have been using the
Amish-made waterproof blankets that Mary Coleman
sells. They have a medium-weight liner, 1000 denier
waterproof nylon top, and wear like nobody;s business!
Only thing I don't like about them is that they just
don't wear out. I seldom have an excuse to buy a new
color. :-0
We've had horses standing in cold, driving downpours.
Under these blankets they were warm & dry 10 hours
later.
Last I heard, Mary was selling them for $75 each
(worth 3X that). OR... You can come ride all 3 days
of the FT Valley ride - a 3 day 150. Every person
completing 150 miles gets one of these as a
completion. Pretty nice awards!!!
