RE: Re: Re: Re: new ride calendar in endurance news

Annie-

You are of course assuming that everyone hates the changes.  That might not be true, or maybe it hasn't been been researched.  I myself don't really care either way - there are pros and cons to both ways.  But somehow my beany little brain manages to read the Ride Calendar okay, so I have no complaints about it.  Don't be so sure that the entire membership feels the same way as you do.

I, and apparently allot of other people,  want the ride calendar to be changed back  to the way it was.  The one in EN. We love the on line web site for all of the stats. No complaints about that at all. When I have called the office about the E.N. Calendar, I was given the impression that it was office staff that did the magazine. But regardless of who does it, or whether or not they are paid, if the membership hates it, it should be changed back. Annie

Anne;

Calm down and look into the things you are talking about. First the avenue for change is through the AERC Board of Directors and through the AERC President. Now just you sit down and send them a nice E-mail and ask for your change. Be constructive about it listing the pros and cons of each method of listing the rides each month. Then consider that it is not the paid office employees that have to make the changes, they have no programming skills. It will be your Technical Committee Volunteers who must do the work. Those couple of fellows (Russ and Mike) who are in the background and hardly ever get a vote of thanks, let alone a good hug and kiss from you women.

Now that you have taken your deep breath, cussed me out, and at least thought of Russ and Mike, exactly what do you want?

Yes, I hate it this way, and have told them so , and will continue to do so. They said allot of people like it, but I have yet to hear of one who does. It is a pain to have to go looking on the following pages for the rest of the days of a multi day. and some of the 3 or 4 day rides you never can find out if they are 5 or what. They said it is allot of trouble to change it back. So I guess all the trouble it causes the several thousand members of AERC , the REAL owners of the organization and the Magazine is less important that the trouble of a few paid employees to change it back. It falls on deaf ears.    Annie George  AERC #6273

I feel the same way Amy. I would like to see it changed back to the old
format.
