some advice for a lurker pls
I have a friend whose horse has a puzzling lameness. He seems to have a
muscle soreness in the left rear "thigh" It sore to palpation and he
seems slightly off at a trot
He is quite willing to canter, but only one lead. She says she is
feeding vitamins, beet pulp
electrolytes, and feeds alfalfa hay to him. What she would like to know
is should she rest him or excercise him lightly. Is heat or cold the
best treatment? Bute? We have a 50 mile endurance ride in 2 weeks and
hope this is only a temporary setback.
Any advice would be much appreciated
Please e-mail privately if you like to:

Thank you in advance
