Purely a guess on my part, but yes, I think there must be a surplus of
Arabs. Plus the fact that many breeders are going for show quality horses,
and most horses that are built ideally for endurance wouldn't be what some
judges are looking for in the show ring. Notable exceptions are Cory
Soltau's Arabs, who are not only gorgeous and are winning in the show ring,
but are also very athletic. I'm sure there are others.
