Could it be that when the competition gets to this level that the fat ladies aren’t able to compete?

Don’t know.  I look like Humpty Dumpty on my tall horse myself.  There are all sorts of people at the local endurance rides.

At the award ceremony, they announced 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
winners in the various weight divisions:  featherweight, lightweight,
midweight, and heavyweight.

There was no 3rd place winner in heavyweight.  In other words, only
two heavyweights completed.  And the 1st (Jim Rawsky on JC Quick Quint
for Canada East) and 2nd (Brian Reeves on RB Royale Brand for
Pacific South) heavyweights placed 18th and 57th out of 58, respectively.
