Re: Which endurance saddle is best
The two saddles that are in a low price range and very well made are:
Marciente-520-636-9737 and the Stonewall 909-928-2064 it seems that the
Stonewall is for higher withered horses. The marciente is great for wider
shouldered horses and can be made narrower. These are both custom made off
the measurements of your horse and very well balanced. The stonewall is very
light weight under 20# and has different styles to choose from. you can type
Marciente under search and see one. Stonewall, you have to call. They will
send you a catalog. Remember that the catalog does NO justice to the real
saddle. these both run under $700.00 bran new and custom made. There are
other great saddles too. I have found that the cordurra endurance saddles
are pretty much a western saddle with the horn cut off. They are not
centered and they are very hot saddles.I found a used Marciente for $400.00
and even IF the tree had been broken I could have sent it to Frank Marciente
and have it fixed for a very reasonable cost. Look for a lightweight, cool
material, well balanced saddle. Good luck.
