LD in the on-line archives from 1985-1995 turned off for now

When Russ, Bob Morris, and I worked on getting the ride results from 1985-95 on-line,
we had trouble with LDs.

The data came out of the old office s/w written in a language not used today.

We did pretty well with the endurance rides but we had a lot of trouble getting 
the LDs to come out with the right dates and names.

Now that a lot more people are looking at their records from the new members page -
people are getting concerned that their old LD records are not correct.

Rest assured that the LD records are correct in the office - they can still run the 
old s/w that looks at the records from 1985-95.  It's our translation that's the 
problem.

Bottom line here is that the endurance miles on-line for 1985-95 are pretty accurate
but since the LDs are causing unneeded concern - we are temporarily turning off
display of the LDs in the 1985-95 time period only.  Your LDs will display on-line
from 1996 only.

When we figure out how to get the LDs in the archives as accurate as the endurance rides,
we will turn the display back on.

The technical reason for why the endurance miles came out better than the LDs - we
don't know now but think it could have something to do with the different number of 
fields - no elapsed time, no points...??  We are looking at it but spending most
of our time on the new services for now.

So our apologies to the LD and endurance community for not being able to look at the 
archives for LDs but accuracy comes first.
