You bet.....that happened to me at 2000 OD. That's why I went to a two
week shoeing school so I could put my OWN shoes back on. As many
problems as I have with Sunny's feet, it's already paid for itself. I
Top Tenned some rides that year I would have been lucky to finish had I
not been able to do that. Some rides don't even HAVE a farrier there.
Putting a shoe back on is not difficult, especially if you have your
farrier make you some "spares" or save the old shoes. Have your farrier
mark them as to which foot they "fit". The skill is in shaping the shoe
and trimming and balancing the foot....that takes practice.
