Keep in mind that both Heidi and I are relatively experienced in
Endurance. We were speaking from OUR perspective and sharing what we
have learned over the years. If you are a new rider, then LD is probably
a better choice since 50 miles may be too intimidating. (It was for me)
It also depends somewhat on the horse. Some horses may be better suited
to LD and have difficulty doing 50 miles.
