Re: RC: hauling hay to rides
Pat,
I don't know about putting it on the tongue, but if your dressing room
has space I'd suggest bale bags. I haul with my pickup with a topper,
and sleep in the back, so I prefer not to get hay everywhere too. The
bale bags are great, and unless you have huge bales you shouldn't have
any trouble fitting a bale in. You can find them in a variety of
catalogs. If you have trouble let me know as I have a few sources for
them. You have an added bonus of being able to leave the hay outside
then, once you get to camp. Unless you have torrential rains (and with
some of them even then as long as you roll the bag over periodically so
nothing is sitting in water) it'll keep the hay dry. this also works
well for people who have goosenecks and want to put the hay in the back
of the truck without it getting wet/mangled.
