Tevis countdown

We are pulling out of here (Florida) next Sunday to head for California and the Tevis! Yeah!! I am driving, got the kids a TV, bringing the truck (to bring goodies back) and have printed out KOA stops. I found one that has a barn and paddocks for horses. The main reason for this trip is to see what I will be in for next year when I head out to ride the Tevis. Isn't there a book that has places to stop and stay with your horses all over the country? I thought there was a book that was updated every year and you could "subscribe". I have found lots of Bed And Breakfast places but they are not usually that close to the interstate. Any ideas?
