I'm very interested on a vet's take of this...
would this mixture actually kill the organisms that
cause scratches? In more advanced cases bacteria,
fungi or both are involved. Having had only one micro
class in college years ago I can't recall either
oregano or thyme killing bacteria. Don't get me wrong,
I'm all for natural remedies if they do the job their
intended for. With scratches I know if you don't kill
the orgamisms responsible you will get reoccurance. I
have been told once you kill all organisms involved
and clear up the scratches the horse rarely gets a
reoccurance. I don't know if this is true or just
another wives tale.
