miles per starts
In response to-
This is fun. Here's the same chart, but with an additional column
that divides miles finished by starts, sorted by breed. How's that
for a normal distribution?
*****************
To me - with the small numbers - just dividing miles per starts reflects
the type of ride done by the horse/rider.
Pony, POA, Welsh are more likely to show up on LDs while the Orlovs tend
to be ridden more on 100s by Lari or Steph.
This would put the numbers highest for the Orlovs and lowest for the ponies.
In the large n cases - like arabs - the deviation down from 50 miles will just reflect
the amount of LDs done by the membership. 100s are such a small amount of our
total rides that it doesn't have much effect except in small n.
