Back injury?

One of the symptoms of EPM is chronic back pain. You might try going to www.aphis.usda.gov/vs/ceah/cahm/Equine/eq98epm.htm  this is the Nat'l Animal Health Monitoring System Equine '98 Study and is just about as current as we are now on EPM. Vets usually only test horses that show more than one or two symptoms and I don't think anyone is really  sure that the current treatment is that effective but it is, what it is at this time. It is just a thought. Back soreness, I think, is one of the hardest problems to solve. Could be saddle, rider, hocks, feet, neck, rolled on something, the list goes on and on. Good Luck.
