Oh yes.  Abbie Marie Sanders, from Leatherwood, Lenoir, NC rides a Mustang 
and they won the 2001 Hallelujah 50 miler.  It rained that entire weekend, I 
remember cause my tent had an indoor swimming pool by Sunday.  Abbie doesn't 
do many rides because she is purty busy on the weekends managing the 
incredible Leatherwood stables.  Her ride time was 4:37, almost 30 minutes 
ahead of the second place rider. Abbie and her horse are both awesome!
