insurance??????
Hello Folks,
Once again, turning to you with a major problem.
Been pulling a 4 horse gooseneck with 1ton Dodge
Dually. Not real pleased with performance in mountains, so jumped at the
chance to buy a VERY nice Peterbilt smaller semi. Both my husband and I
have perfect driving records, etc. Know we have to get our CDL's because
of airbrakes, etc, but guess what? We can't find insurance for this
truck. We're not officially a farm, we SURE don't make money at this
sport, and we're not a company. We have honestly tried at least 20
insurance companies. No one will insure us if we want to travel over a 50
mile radius. Which would be just fine if our rides were in that
radius!
Just hoping that someone in ridecamp land has a
bigger truck like that and can give us advice on trying to find insurance.
Very frustrated at this time. Sure doesn't seem fair that we buy a bigger
truck for safety's sake, (stopping and pulling), and no one will give us
insurance? The truck is totally paid for too, and all we really need is
liability. Any clues out there? You might want to respond privately
because since I had no idea it would be a problem, maybe nobody else has run
into it.....
Thanks and sure hope someone can help!
Oh, and guys. Check this out. How does
one practice with their truck to get a CDL if you can't get it out of the
driveway.......
