Another thing that works great on abcesses, at least for horses that are
contained in a fairly dry area, is, after medicating the abcess site, wrap
the whole hoof with a baby disposable diaper, then wrap with duct tape.
Keeps it dry, on the hoof and clean.....
and disposable diapers are CHEAP, compared to other bandaging materials!
