re:Remedies for girth galls
An "oldime" horse person, not of endurance background, but from the days
of working horses on farms as a way of life, once told me that soaking a
towell in Epsom Salt solution and placing it on the affected area
toughens the skin and makes sores from tack rubs less likely and will
also take the soreness out of an affected area, so long as the skin is
still intact. Broken skin and any salt don't mix well.
