Not to start a flame war or anything, but my husband (a non-endurance person) 
read this same protest report.  His comment was, "if the horse actually dies 
and they don't do anything to the guy, what good would it have done for 
people to have protested at some time in the past?"  Just an observation from 
an outsider.
