My husband has your horse's twin! He's a 6 year old Arab/Quarter cross. Twice I've been behind him when he does the "duck & dive" as we put it and I've been amazed. You're right...if he did that cutting horses, we'd be RICH!! My suggestions are the things that have kept my husband from coming off: 1) NEVER be a passenger; and, 2) Invest in a Boz saddle. The seat keeps him centered when Bailey is spinning! We got this horse from a woman in her 60's who was having the same problem as you. She tried to hold him back alot and didn't trust him, so he was very tough mouthed when we got him. Dennis has done lots of trail rides with him and has worked with him to get him soft again. He's an incredible athlete (the horse, not Dennis<g>) and will go far with endurance. Good luck with your pony!!
