Re: saddle placement question
I competed for a while on a wintec AP 500. Nice saddle fitted well, but
ended up with white hairs and thick skin in the stirrup bar area of the
horses back after about six months.
I supect the trees are not strong enought to carry a riders weight over the
whole saddle area.
fantastic to just be able to hose clean though.
I now ride in a paneled saddle - the Free and easy, its great.
My horse is short and dipped back and has high knee action and huge
shoulders ( hes a welsh cob - like an old style Morgan horse) and this is
genuinly the only saddle that I have had which hasnts created white hairs
and pressure points with him.
