I have been using a Soft Steel Patriot on my small, short backed arab since
march and have had no problems (no loin rubbing). I am only doing LD with him
at this point. The System II panels are shorter than the old System I. I have
no idea if the panel length varies by model and seat size. Mine are about 24"
or a little less on a 15" saddle.
