Re: treeless saddle

Try euroenduro email group for users of Tuend saddles. Pauline Holloway uses
one I think her phone number and email adress are in the EHPS rules book.
AQ word of warning re treeless saddles. I am also UK based and have a v.wide
backed welsh cob. I used a sports saddle for him. Great for his back but
excrutiatingly painful for my hips. In the sports saddle the twist is
effectivly the width of your horses back. I collapsed after one ride as my
hips ached so much. Ended up selling it and making a big loss.
I use a free and easy saddle now which is good for him. My horses girth
groove is set back though so a slightly different problem!
Good luck - saddle hunting always a night mare.

causing a few problems!! The Tuend saddles are available over here but I
dont know anybody who has one. I have a shortbacked wide-ish pony who has a
forward girth groove. This causes his skin to "wrinkle" slightly when his
shoulder moves back under the saddle. Does anyone have any idea whether the
treeless saddles (particularly Tuend) are suitable for this type of
shoulder. I know its very difficult when you cant see the pony/saddle but I
am keen to gather as much info as possible before I do anything else.
