Pat , I keep my horse on lush pasture 24/7 but I also throw him a couple
flakes of hay everyday so the change isn't too noticeable when going to a
ride . I do feed alf/grass hay and he also gets soaked hay cubes everyday at
noon besides his morning /night feedings of beet pulp and grain . I have
never had a problem .
