Another way it can be done is by trimming the tops of the bars (maybe we're
actually saying the same thing).  A saddle can also be made narrower
by removing some of the leather layers or by building up the twist area
with padding which raises the crotch a bit.  Someday I'm going to
learn how to build a saddle!
