Still time to register for OVETS!
Hey Steph,
Please forward this on...Thanks, Jerry
There is still time to register for the 2001 OVETS.
A flyer is attached, but in case you have difficulty opening it, here
are
the highlights:
Location: Holiday Inn Hurstbourne
1325 Hurstbourne Parkway, Louisville, KY (Off I64)
502-426-2600 or 1-800-HOLIDAY
Due to popular support, the Kentucky Horse Council is proud to bring
you the
third annual symposium dedicated solely to trails issues, OVETS. This
symposium offers us an opportunity for trails enthusiasts from all
over the
Ohio valley region to come together to discuss common opportunities
and
problems and to keep abreast of current trail issues and research.
This is not a policy or planning meeting, but an educational symposium
directed at equestrian trail users. Those attending will learn about
subjects ranging from waterborne zoonotic pathogens of equine origin
to
fundraising to critically understanding research in our quest to keep
and
develop new trails. The growing pressure on public lands and the
wealth of
misinformation about horse riding make it essential that the
equestrian
community become organized and pro active in defending and promoting
our
tradition of riding in America's open spaces.
We invite anyone with an interest in trails to attend this 1 1/2 day
conference. The fee for attending is $75 (payable to the Kentucky
Horse
Council) and includes continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday. A
$15
late fee will be charged after January 20th. Pre-registration is
strongly
encouraged. The program begins at 9:00 a.m Saturday and conclude by
1:00
p.m. on Sunday.
