Skunk spray on leather - help!
My friend and I went riding today
and passed a skunk, sleeping (?), in the brush right next to the single track
trail. Obviously, the skunk felt threatened as it sprayed us. My girlfriend was
in front. She and her horse took the brunt of the spray, but we also got
hit.
I've washed everything, but not sure
how to handle my saddle. It looks like the spray is on the fender and
stirrup.
I know that tomatoe juice and ground
coffee are suppose to work. I'm a little apprehensive about washing the leather
with tomatoe juice, or rubbing the ground coffee into it.
Does any one have any
suggestions?
Thanks -
Jeanne
