If you do find yourself wanting a senior feed but your horse not able to handle
the Equine Senior, if you have a Buckeye dealer near you they have a feed called
Wrangler that works very well.  It's a complete pellet.  My friend uses it on her
mare who is turning 32 next month.  she still gets some corn and sweet feed since
she likes that and does well on it, but she also gets Wrangler and alfalfa
pellets. Went through a few years of haing a hard time getting weight on her
until we discovered this combination.  It doesn't have the heavy molasses base
that Equine Senior does.  My friend tried that and it didn't do much for her
mare; others have had good luck but it didn't work for this one.
