Give it up and buy the center fire rigging through sport tack.  It has 4 
biothane billets and a girth.  Get a larger size than they recommend, I 
ordered a 26 and it was way too small, returned for a 30.  This works very 
well for me,  and you can adjust the billets to put the girth just about 
anywhere you want it.
