Re: trailer search

SUNDOWNER!!!  Hubby and I ordered our 2 horse gooseneck, straight load with the dressing room (in fire engine red to match the truck).  We are going to do some slight modifications to turn the dressing room into sleeping quarters.  We also got the 40 gallon water tanks and an 18' awning with it for about $15,125.  It is very quiet in the horse compartment when on the road.  Three of my friends have Sundowners so I have seen them in use first hand.  I have not seen Four Star, so can't comment.  A friend looked at Sooners and they were noisy.  We went to the local Sundowner dealership (Orchard Trailers in Whately, MA - they are the best) 3 times, and saw them at Equine Affair.  We spend 2 hours each time we were there and they answered all of our questions.  They were also good about financing, telling us that they couldn't beat the deal we got from our credit union.  When we go pick it up, they will help us learning to haul it, they will take our picture in front of it, send us a calendar with the picture of us in front of the trailer and give us Sundowner hats.
