Truce! Maybe someday you can come up to me at a Michigan
ride, slap me so I'll know who you are, and tell me about the good ol' days when
AERC was a little wilder and woolier. (I'm not being sarcastic.) One
thing for sure - you get a bunch of people who are foolishly determined enough
to ride a horse 50-100 miles in one day, you are going to get
opinions!
Respectfully,
Laurie

You're kind of proving my point, Maryben. I'm NOT from
northern California,
I joined in Texas and now live in Michigan.
I've never met a single
founding member of AERC, wouldn't
recognized them if they slapped me. Who
is Kathy? I used Julie's
name because she's the only founding member I'm
sure of, and I wanted a
name recognizable to the masses to make my point,
not to provide
historical accuracy. If it's important to you, we can
ammend it to
board-meetings-in-Kathy's-living-room.
Kathie Perry one of the
founding members of AERC. You don't have to live
in Northern
California to know who's who. Check out the Hall of Fame list.
Julie is not a founding member of AERC by the way. And as
far as a name
recognizable to the masses, Kathie Perry is pretty
darn well known. If it
was important to me, we would have to amend
it to meetings in Kathie's
kitchen.....
