Bob sent some great links!!! I urge those of you interested to take a better
look at the first link, as it has the latin names of the plants!!

As a former Nursery owner, I found that many plant shared the same common
name, and that totally different species of plants across the country can be
called by the same name (for example, fiddleneck can mean the fern or herb).
I learned to ignore common names,  and rely on the latin names....its's far
safer.

If anyone is interested in the story of the lady in Califnonia who brewed a
tea from "spanish moss" and got dreadfully sick, let me know!(spanish moss
is NOT found in California!)

beware of herbal remidy books that DO NOT specify plants by latin names!
