Very sad news...

My beloved mare Cricket had what we thought was a bad colic Monday evening.
She died in transit to the equine medical center.  The post mortem showed a
bizarre turn of events -- she didn't colic at all.  Somehow, in her turn out
paddock, she managed to severely fracture her pelvis, severing a major
artery in her leg.  I'm very sad...
