Horse Age

I just looked at a horse for sale that is 16.  He has Bask, Ferzon and 
Aladdin in his pedigree.  He has been used in the arena for most of his 
life, hasn't been trail riden much.  He is very pretty and priced in my 
price range.  Can anyone see a reason why he wouldn't work for endurance 
with proper conditioning?  Considering his confirmation is very good and he 
has good legs and feet.
