equalizer pad
Debbie,
I have also just started using a sports saddle. One
thing I have found is you must saddle your horse differently, further behind the
withers than with other saddles. I also use an equalizer pad-but I put a
lightweight pad between it and the horse, as I was told to ten years ago when I
bought both of them. When I first got them (equalizer pads) I was having
difficulties with loin rubbing and that solved my problems. Since we are
both new users I have a question for you! I feel like I am learning to
ride all over again in this new saddle, my seat is completely different than
what I was using, a big horn. Can you post in your saddle? or must you
maintain a two point position at a trot? Also how does your horse deal
with the different girth, my horse must have thought it was a bucking
strap!
