Re: RC: sports saddle
This is a problem with Sports Saddles on horses with short backs or when
the saddle sits toward the rear. The corners of the skirt rub the loins
on either side. I sold my SportSaddle because I could not solve this
problem with Sunny. I ended up purchasing a custom saddle (S.R. Enduro)
which worked just fine. There are some "fixes" for this problem. You
might want to give SportTack a call. They at one time advertised a pad
that would help this. It's causes by the saddle "flexing" because the
tree is two pieces. If you find a cure, post the info. I liked the
saddle, but just couldn't make it work.

It is like a rub see say when someone uses a breast plate and it rubs the hair. As far as his back being sore! I am not sure. I have tested it as best I can, he seems as if he may be tender but not bad. Has anyone else eperienced this? Is there a break in peroid for the saddles? I worry that when I really begin training, riding at a trot for an hour at a time, this could be a problem. Sore back. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
