The sabino gene doesn't do much for Appies, but it sure as heck is a help in
breeding various sorts of pintos. Both Paints and pintos of various other
breeds can have sabino as one of the various color genes, in addition to
overo and tobiano (which do NOT occur in Arabs). Sometimes it is difficult
to tell an overo from a sabino just by looking at the pattern, too.
