Slide-in campers

Avid endurance rider/driver needs advice on options for adding a
slide-in camper to the following combination:

1997 Dodge 2500 HD (4x4 club cab) 5.9 litre Turbo Diesel plus 4 horse WW
stock bumper pull (14,000 lb towing capacity) GVWR 8800 lbs.

I found a cheap and cheerful slide-in camper that measures 10 feet in
length (a full 2 feet longer than the truck bed), but I don't know how
much it weighs, although I'll assume a lot as it is a 1978 Daico Skylark
model.

Also, what have y'all solved the double hookup wiring issue (trailer
plug, camper lights)?

Have a welder who will do whatever work I need, just need to know if
it's feasible.
