Hi Diane, I team penned on my Paint horse (BE - Beore endurance) and (in my
experience) team penning won't help the horse "frame up". They have to know
how to do that before they start working cows if they're a head tosser or
don't carry themselves well, that will actually get worse while you're trying
to work cows. Not that its a bad thing to do (I've tried it on my endurance
horse, Harca) and he got even more excited than he does at the start of the
Tevis -- it was pretty comical. He didn't know which way to go (we did a lot
of hopping in place). And the local cowboys thought we were a hoot. I think
doing different things with any horse is a good thing, have fun!
