Good post, Steph. Here are some more:
Increased blood volume.
Improved neuromuscular coordination and enhanced neurotramsitter production
Improved proprioception
Body weight shifts for better efficiency and power production
Tougher everything
More finely tuned cardiovascular response, including nitric oxide production
Increased enzyme availability and activity
Increased hormone production and respnsiveness.
Endorphins--mental adaptation
And all the million things that God knows about that we don't.
