helmets-last time
Kat,
Well, since it was my post that you were slamming, thought I should
respond back. Sorry, I am not swayed even an iota. Still, you presented
no facts to me, only random thoughts from you head. And it might shock
you that others than yourselves also have "personal observations". Have
you been reading the masses of posts about the experiences of others?
Why don't you go back and count how many people told of incidents where a
helmet harmed or almost killed them. I didn't see any. Those, too, are
personal observations. I am not trying to sway you into wearing a
helmet. In fact, I normally don't try to sway anybody into anything. I
was referrring to DEATHS Kat. I will take a few trips to the chiropracter
versus my kids having no mother (although, I don't think my occasional
visits have anything to do with me wearing a helmet). Nope, I was
talking about DEATH, and the LACK OF IT that I have seen/heard of because
someone was wearing a helmet. And what is with this "bullshit" thing.
You are in mixed company and you might offend someone. Like me for
instance. Although, I don't know if you would care. Not that I have
not heard the word, just that you were implying it as though you were
extremely irritated with me and you don't even know me. Sorry only my
second post was such an irritant to you. I'm pretty passive, irritating
is not my bag. Life is too hectic as it is. So, try to chill, and if
you don't want to wear a helmet then more power to you. I am normally the
type that will do anything to not "go with the masses." In fact I loathe
it. But on this subject, I have to do what seems to me to be the safest
thing. Key phrase "to me." We can obviously do what we please and that
is a GOOD thing. I do cringe, however, if you are on some crusade to
get people not to wear helmets. That, to me, would be an injustice to
others that you might live to regret. I'm throwing in the towel on this
one. I will continue to live in my own reality and let my inner feelings
be my guide. Terri O.
