horse colors

Hi everyone...I hope you all got to ride today!
I was wondering, do you think that the color of a horse makes a difference 
when it comes to heat.  I mean, does a grey horse stay cooler than a black 
horse (lets just say they are muscled exactly the same....this way, there is 
only one variable).  I noticed that at Tevis (which I crewed for, didn't ride 
in..) the top ten horses (there was a mule who finished 9th, I think) were 
all chestnuts, or pretty close to chestnuts.  Is this just coincidence?
