Re: Fw: RC: endurance prospect, etc.
Ti, Im not as tough inside as you seem (pretend?) to be. I cant afford a
new horse because I blew out the one I had. I love my endurance partner.
I want to go many miles with her/him, whether that means winning or simply
finishing. Yes, I have raced in for the finish, yes I have won and BC'd
before. That was many years ago and never very often. Hell yeah it tasted
good. I get drunk on it just remembering it.
I just cant race "balls out" at every ride and not expect it to show up on
my mount. When, I do start racing Clovis, if I do, I will have a game plan,
I will probably use much of your advice and I will ride to a personal best.
Sometimes a personal best is winning sometimes it isnt. Im a patient and
tough competitor and a caring partner. Somewhere that combination "will"
fit into the racing scheme. Yes, you are right, to win is to win for the
moment. To finish is to win makes us winners in the long run. Ok, now
flame away at how stupid you think I sounded. :+) gesa n clovis n skye
.
