Carrot Analogy
tom sites goearth@shentel.net
Hello, Having a vocation of an Ornamental Horticulturalist and only studing and practicing Olericulture only for self usage I've found the carrot to have been domesticated in Afghanistan and used primarily for medicinal purposes historically. The carrot is also an excellant source of vitamins B-1, C and G (B-2). Those that like to parade them arround fairs and such for appreciation are neglecting the fact that the best to eat are the small tender ones not the big fat ones. Of course my bias is compromised because i've been quoted in an organic gardening article as saying: "I'd rather eat the bug than what it took to kill it." Isn't that what we want w/our vegtables? To eat them. Or i quess some may want to hang ribbons on the wall. tom sites
