Re: RC: Re: Fw: RC: endurance prospect, etc.

Whitney;
Human athletes ask more of themselves every time they go out
and train. It improves their overall performance. I would
believe that they reach a plateau where they know they are
unable to improve their performance further and work on
keeping the level they have achieved. Aren't we doing the
same with our horses? Don't we train each and every time to
improve their performance and condition while keeping them
sound? It is up to us, as the owners of these beautiful
creatures to make sure they are capable of what we are
asking. But, I don't see anything wrong with asking them to
increase their performance until they've hit their plateau
as long as they remain healthy and sound.

You have made the decision not to race your horse. That is
fine, that is your decision. But you should not be
judgmental against someone who as made the opposite
decision. You don't know what their training methods are.
In fact, you have no idea if the horse is being hurt in the
long run or not. So you are being judgmental and trying to
impose your views upon everyone else. Have you ever
considered moving back down to CTR's? There is no race to
the finish there.
Diane
